An ex-Mckinsey consultant, Harvard Business School MBA grad and now an Amazon Pathways Manager shares what they learned from their time in consulting and what they've learned since leaving consulting.
What I learned as a consultant
Solve complex problems
I learnt how to apply the famous McKinsey problem-solving approach towards complex problems. This has helped make me a better leader who can jump into complex situations, define the problem and come up with creative solutions.
Develop great communication skills
I learnt how to apply the pyramid principle towards communicating my thoughts, especially to senior executives who have little attention span.
