Delivery Associates is the leading public sector advisory group focused on implementation of large-scale reform and establishment of delivery units. The group's methodology (the Science of Delivery first developed by Sir Michael Barber in the UK Prime Minister's Delivery Unit) has been successfully applied in 6 continents globally across education, health, economic development, infrastructure and other areas of government.

Hiperpool partnered with Delivery Associates to hire Delivery Leaders.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Delivery Associates is partnering with Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Natural Resources Defense Council to support the American Cities Climate Challenge, an opportunity for 20 selected mayors to lead the way on tackling climate change in America. The challenge was announced on June 1, 2018, one year to the day after President Trump withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement. Through the Challenge, participating cities will accelerate their progress toward the Paris Agreement targets by 2020.

Delivery Associates is the implementation partner for this work, with responsibility for:
  • Managing a first-of-its-kind action network of cities committed to moving the needle on carbon emissions. Delivery Associates will facilitate a peer learning and challenge network across the 20 participating cities, ensuring collective accountability and learning through a series of virtual and face-to-face convenings.
  • Supporting cities as they plan for impact. As part of their application and selection, Delivery Associates will support cities to develop delivery plans for operationalizing their ambitious climate action goals. These plans will include targets and trajectories on emissions reductions, a roadmap for implementing high-impact policies at scale, a clear delineation of the delivery chain of roles and responsibilities throughout city government, feedback loops for intermediate data, and a system of routine reviews of progress with the mayor.
  • Supporting cities to deliver results. Once the 20 cities have been selected, the Delivery Associates team will support cities to implement their plans. This includes support for regular progress monitoring and problem-solving as issues arise, and course correction through engagement with the mayor and senior city leaders.
  • Coordinating leadership of the broader initiative. Working alongside Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Natural Resources Defense Council, Delivery Associates will be a thought partner in the overall leadership and direction of the Challenge program, with the overall aim of achieving significant progress toward the Paris Agreement goals in participating cities by 2020.
Delivery Associates is building a team of delivery leaders who will support this work – particularly through direct coaching to cities.
