About the role

The Category Manager will assist in the management of current categories and in the launch of new Categories. It will involve both defining the best category and packaging strategy and also the ability to roll up one’s sleeves reaching to suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring that the packaging respects our desired technical requirements and making sure we will have the product in stock on time.

The role is a high visibility role within the team and has lots of exposure to the CEO and COO. During the first six months, the role will be highly involved in defining the overall packaging strategy and execution for the whole brand.

  • Define and own the overall strategy for the assigned category/project
  • Translate the strategy in the best product customer value proposition
  • Be able to contribute also to the creative definition of the product leveraging the internal marketing team and external agencies
  • Be responsible for the full operational execution (e.g. placing orders, ensuring that the stock arrives on time..)
  • Manage the entire assigned project and ensure that update other departments on the status of the project


  • At least 2 years of work experience in strategy or e-commerce
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think through a project strategy
  • Proven ability to be organised, independent and deliver results
  • Commercial acumen and willingness to talk to multiple suppliers
  • Advantageous if you have previous experience as a packaging manager or a brand manager for an e-commerce or consumer goods company.
