The operating team works to deliver exceptional returns on the fund’s investments both by partnering with deal teams during asset selection (~20% of executive’s time) and working with management teams to drive value creation in our portfolio companies (~80% of executive’s time).
During diligence, the operating team partners with deal teams in evaluating potential acquisitions, including weighing in on crucial operational issues related to the asset, assessing the market of the target company, and understanding consumer insights and behaviour.
Responsibilities
- You are expected to take ownership of key priorities and initiatives at the portfolio company, are held accountable for individual results, and are typically the primary agents of change within the organisation
- Our integrated model fosters a deeply collaborative work environment, both within the operating team, investment team, and at portfolio companies. Executives will work closely with senior colleagues (both in the fund and portfolio companies) with significant operating and private equity experience to drive operating results
- You will gain invaluable skills in managerial decision-making, leadership, P&L management, personnel management, prioritisation, implementation feasibility, and hands-on operational execution
- Executives can rise within the team, transition into opportunities within KKR, or take senior operating roles inside the portfolio. Two-thirds of team members that have moved into company operating positions in the last 5 years are in C-level or president roles
